Tips for Planning an Adults-Only Chicago Trip

It’s always exciting to take a trip to Chicago in the spring, and even more so if it’s an adults-only trip. Whether you are leaving the kids at home or traveling with a group of friends, it’s essential to make the most of your trip. Since there are so many exciting and interesting things to do in the city, we’ve created a list of tips for planning the best adults-only trip to Chicago.

Go to a concert

If you enjoy listening to live music, Chicago’s a great place to visit. There are always a variety of concerts to go to in the city. Whether you’d like to go see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the Symphony Center or John Mayer at the United Center, this April there are many concerts to choose from. Look out for big name artists who will perform this spring and summer, including Justin Bieber at the United Center in May, Coldplay at Soldier Field in May, and Kenny Chesney at Soldier Field in June.

Stay at a boutique hotel

Spend your stay in the city at a luxury hotel. It can be especially exciting to stay at a boutique hotel with unique features and amenities. One boutique hotel located in Streeterville, Hotel EMC2, provides guests with an exclusive stay in a remarkable environment. The hotel has rooms that have both science and art-themed fixtures, from artwork to whimsical touches like open-glass showers called WetLabs. Hotel EMC2 even has friendly robots named Leo and Cleo who assist guests by bringing them things such as water bottles and towels. If you get hungry or want a beverage, stop by Hotel EMC2’s restaurant, the Albert, for breakfast, brunch, dinner, or a drink.

Visit the Art Institute of Chicago

Located in downtown Chicago, the Art Institute of Chicago is one of the world’s great art museums. It houses a collection that spans centuries and the globe. Exhibits include American Gothic by Grant Wood, a 12th-century statue of the Buddha, and even 16th-century field armor made in Nuremberg, Germany. These exhibits give onlookers excellent opportunities to see and learn about world-class art.

Have a culinary experience

Chicago is full of quality restaurants with seasoned chefs and unique dining experiences. One top-notch restaurant in Streeterville, the Albert, has innovative dishes and handcrafted drinks, as well as a striking and lively atmosphere. Filled with walls of books and unique art, the restaurant has a one-of-a-kind environment. Whether you settle for drinks, food, or dessert, the Albert provides a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Watch a Broadway show

This April, catch one of the many Broadway shows playing in Chicago: Teatro Zinzanni, The Play That Goes Wrong, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, SIX the Musical, and The Prom. You’ll be sure to enjoy the show and the experience of watching a Broadway show in one of Chicago’s famous theaters.
